Pirates take on Stags

LYCEUM eyes its ninth win and tries to move to solo second when it tangles with Perpetual Help today in the 95th NCAA basketball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.

The match is set at 4 p.m. after San Sebastian College battles College of St. Benilde in the curtain-raiser at 2 o’clock.

The Pirates escaped past Arellano University 93-90 last Sept. 10 and improved their record to 7-3.
Six-foot-6 Cameroonian import Mike Harry Nzeusseu, twins Jaycee and Jayvee Marcelino, and Reymar Caduyac are expected to lead Lyceum’s charge anew.

The Altas are out to bounce back from their 90-107 shellacking at the hands of San Sebastian College last Aug. 23.

Perpetual will rely on Edgar Charcos, Ben Adamos, Rey Peralta, Kim Aurin, Jef Egan, and Jielo Razon in its bid to hike its 3-6 slate.

The Blazers absorbed a 64-88 loss to Letran last Sept. 6.

Fil-Am wingman Justin Gutang, Yankie Haruna, Robi Nayve, and 6-foot-7 Cameroonian reinforcement Clement Leutcheu will be counted upon by CSB to hike its 6-3 card.
