DOTTIE Ardina and Bianca Pagdanganan continued to struggle yesterday in the shortened Cambia Portland Classic, winding up in a tie for 42nd and 64th places, respectively, at the end of the tournament at the Columbia Edgewater Country Club in Portland, Oregon.
In a rollercoaster round marked by five birdies and four bogeys, Ardina had an even par 71 for a 54-hole total of 213 over the 6,283-yard course to land in a six-way tie with five others, banking roughly P333,300.
Pagdanganan, who anchored a sweep of the women’s individual and team gold medals in golf the last 30th Southeast Asian in December, limped home with a three-over 74, bogged down by two bogeys and a double bogey on the par four hole No. 9 against two birdies.
She was lumped with five others with a three-round output of 216, each getting $3,628 (P175, 569), 12 shots behind English winner Georgia Hall, who had a last-round 68 but needed to play two extra holes with South African Ashleigh Buhai to pocket the top prize of $262,500.
Hall and Buhai finished with similar 204s.
