THE Blu Girls overwhelmed Thailand yesterday, scoring an 11-0 victory to clinch a semis spot in the softball action of the 30th Southeast Asian Games in Clark, Pampanga.
Not to be outdone, the Blu Boys followed up their 6-0 win over Singapore last Monday with an 11-1 victory over Indonesia yesterday.
“I’m so happy that we are doing what everyone expects and that is to win convincingly,” said Blu Girls coach Randy Dizer. “The last two games that our team played, I think we’re ready, we’re there already.
“Winning as one is what we have in mind and that’s how we will finish it. We’re here for the country and we’re representing the country as best as we can para sa ating mga kababayan.”
“The Blu Girls are at the top of their game and eager to prove themselves worthy of being called champions. Let’s continue to inspire and support them throughout the competition.
It’s getting tougher by the day but with the Filipino people cheering on, that’s almost winning over half the battle,” said Cebuana Lhuillier and AsaPhil president Jean Henri Lhuillier.
