“Travel Business Exchange Pilipinas 2019,” the country’s biggest business-to-business (B2B) travel and tourism event is happening again. The event which will gather various selected, invited, potential, and producing buyers will meet with sellers hoping to generate extensive activity for the country’s tourism industry for both inbound and outbound travel.
Happening on November 7-8 at the Clark Marriott Hotel, the two-day event, with the theme “We Do More Business Here,” is touted as the leading and most productive B2B travel event in the country organized by private sector proponents.
The first day of TBEX Pilipinas 2019 features a whole-day seminar titled “In MICE, Anything is Possible” and will be packed with guests and speakers all experts on the “MICE” or Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions industry. Keynote speaker will be Ms. Venus Tan, Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) COO, who is a global MICE advocate who helped create the Philippine MICE program called “BID, BID, BID.”
Other speakers for Day 1 include Jerome de la Fuente, a seasoned international hotelier who will talk about “Exposing the Unique Elements and Powers of MICE versus Leisure Tourism”; Butch Garcia, SVP of the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) on “Living Up with the Challenges of Philippine MICE”; Raymond Villanueva, a renowned show director for lifestyle and corporate events, on “Dressing and Making Up a MICE Project”; and Hadi Malaeb, president and managing partner of Agora Events and Consulting Company and a respected MICE leader in the Middle East, will discuss “Now is the Time to Put Philippine MICE on the Global Stage.”
Day 2 marks the much-anticipated B2B session at the Marriott’s Grand Ballroom and will be for registered local and overseas buyers and sellers, according to Angel Ramos Bognot, TBEX Pilipinas 2019 project director and business event creator. The buyers, mostly medium-size firms, are member-companies of NITAS or Network of Independent Travel and Allied Services Philippines, Inc.
“This year, we once again hope to generate more sales from between buyers and sellers during the B2B meetings, aside from fruitful collaborations, dynamic marketing linkages, even innovative travel packaging ideas that will benefit the Philippine tourism industry as a whole,” adds Bognot.
Bognot added that they will introduce a new segment, the TBEX Indefatigable Awards 2019 which will recognize delegates and companies that exerted the biggest efforts demonstrating hard work to generate more business, and helped motivate delegates to achieve their business plan. It will also recognize and reward delegates that showed excellence and best practices and created an exciting moment while buying or selling during TBEX Pilipinas 2019.
Awards ae at stake for both Seller and Buyer categories. For the Seller, awards include Best Marketing Efforts, Top Seller-Producer, Relationship Marketing, Best Promotional Materials and Indefatigable Seller. For the Buyer category, it will be the Top Performing Buyer, Endlessly Seeking Business Partner, Most Disciplined and Professional, Best Buying Technique and Indefatigable Buyer awards.
All winners will receive specially designed glass trophies symbolizing the indefatigable trait and business acumen of the winners.
