Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) flexes its digital capabilities by rolling out a fully-automated online account opening facility optimizing customer experience amid the Coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic.
RCBC Touch is a web-based platform that enables a secured end to end digital onboarding process and allows clients to open any type of deposit account. It offers more account type options, from a variety of savings and checking accounts. It now includes an electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) function which captures and validates customer data and submitted identification real-time. Activation of newly-opened accounts only takes a few minutes after a successful application.
This newest online solution is seen to provide a seamless and holistic customer experience as clients can be automatically enrolled in the RCBC Online Banking app. The bank’s comprehensive online banking platform is equipped with a complete suite of banking services, making it easier for them to manage their accounts online. They also gain access to the bank’s ATM and branch network nationwide.
“With the restricted living conditions that we are in right now and with people still apprehensive to go outside, we want to be able to provide a platform where it is safe, fast and easy to open an account with us,” RCBC Retail Banking Group Head Richard C. Lim said.
RCBC has been recently named the Best Digital Bank in the Philippines since it embarked on a massive digital transformation in 2019. It is one of the first local universal banks to roll out a complete suite of digital banking services, from digital onboarding with RCBC Touch until account management with RCBC Online Banking. The bank also redesigned its branches to what is now called, Branch of Today (BOT), which offers digitized branch banking services for clients who still seek physical services for some banking transactions.
