PARK Inn by Radisson North EDSA, a new vibrant oasis in the urban setting that is strategically linked to SM City North EDSA, has welcomed the Yuletide season by lighting up its first Christmas tree.
The tree is adorned in blue, white and silver colors and swathed with sparkling decorations.
The new hotel will also have Yuletide offerings – from a small get together to a grand celebration.
In his message, Nils Rothbarth, general manager of Park Inn by Radisson North EDSA, said the lighting of the Christmas tree is a perfect way to begin the holiday season. The tree stands as a beacon of light, as they look forward to a season of joy with family and friends.
Over the next few weeks, Rothbarth said billions of people around the world will celebrate Christmas with prayer, gratitude and goodwill.
“For many of us, it would be impossible to imagine Christmas Day without our families or without the memories we carry of all the traditions that we have built up together over the years,” he said.
Rothbarth said people carry these traditions throughout their lives and pass them on to their children, with each generation weaving something precious into the family Christmas story.
“In essence, that is the most important part of Christmas; more important than any presents, parties, or even Santa coming down the chimney on Christmas Eve,” he stressed.
In support to the SOS Children’s Village, which provides assistance and protection to children entrusted to its care, the executive committee of SM Hotels and Conventions Corp. (SMHCC) and Park Inn by Radisson North EDSA gave Christmas presents to the kids.
There was also a musical concert featuring special performances like classical pieces, popular ballads and Christmas songs from the Ateneo Chamber Singers and Opus One.
Also at the lighting ceremony were Admore Alzate, SOS Children’s Village Philippines corporate relations head; Elizabeth Sy, SMHCC president; and Peggy Angeles, SMHCC executive vice president. — Edison Joseph Gonzales
