Moneymax improves digital experience for consumers

How hard is it to choose the right insurance? To apply for a credit card or a personal loan? It can be difficult and confusing, with so many products to choose from. Getting the right product can be a pain, and failing to compare options can lead to making wrong financial decisions.

Moneymax, an online comparison platform for financial products, strives to addresssuch common consumer pain points. Established in 2014, Moneymax is one of the leading financial technology companies in the Philippines, providing Filipinos with a free platform to compare car insurance, credit cards, and loans. Apart from this, Moneymaxaims to help Filipinos lead healthier financial lives through their personal finance blog and social media communities.

Pearl Gonzales, Moneymax Co-Head of Comparison Business, shares: “Given the community quarantine restrictions, customers rely on our help in fulfilling their financial needs in the comfort of their home. Moneymax makes it easy for them to compare, apply for, and secure a financial product online.”

Apart from being a free-to-use comparison platform, Moneymax is a licensed insurance broker offering end-to-end car insurance services. The whole car insurance process—from choosing a policy to filing a claim—can be done on the Moneymax website. Clients don’t need to pay a single centavo to compare and choose the right car insurance policy.

Additionally, Moneymax offers some of the most competitive car insurance rates in the market, making it cheaper and easier to insure a vehicle. To provide more insurance options, Moneymax recently partnered with two of the biggest non-life insurance companies in the Philippines: Malayan and Prudential Guarantee. As the company enters a better and stronger year, more insurance partners will soon be onboarded on the Moneymax website.

As we slowly transition to cashless transactions, Moneymax acknowledges the need of every Filipino to have their own credit card. Together with Citibank, the fintech company gave away GrabPay Credits, GCash, and Apple AirPods to successful credit card applicants. The three promos, which ran from August to December last year, helped more than 415 Filipinos get a Citi credit card that suits their lifestyles and needs. This was Moneymax’s first sponsored partnership with Citibank. Currently, Moneymax is giving away Apple AirPods to approved Citi credit card clients. The promo will run until February 26, 2021.

The company also recently launched a loans page www.moneymax.ph/loans where users can apply for three loan types, each catering to specific eligibility and need: personal loan for long-term borrowing, instant cash loan for emergency needs, and housing loans. The page will help users instantly compare and apply for a loan product without having to browse multiple websites and fill out several forms.

2020 was truly a challenging year for businesses. Despite facing hurdles brought about by the pandemic, Moneymax has powered through, seeing it as an opportunity to rise above the competition. Synology releases higher-capacity M.2 NVMe SSDs, 10/25GbE network cards

Synology Inc. today announced two additions to its enterprise-class M.2 NVMe solid-state drive line for SSD caching, and its latest generation 10/25GbE network cards to drive forward storage and networking performance on its storage solutions.

New 800 GB models for the SNV3400 M.2 2280 and SNV3500 M.2 22110 NVMe SSD lines are designed to let users with larger data sets cache more data, allowing for higher and more consistent performance improvements over HDD-based arrays.

The dual-port 10GbE SFP+ E10G21-F2 compliments the existing lineup of high-speed NICs, while the dual-port 25GbE SFP28 E25G21-F2 provides customers with even faster 25GbE connectivity options.

“Our latest NAS models are built for expansion so that they can meet our customers’ future storage, caching, and connectivity needs,” says Peggy Weng, Synology Product Manager. “With this latest wave of releases, we build on that foundation to offer a solid ecosystem of first-party storage and networking options.”

Supporting larger SSD cache applications. “To satisfy a growing need for cost-effective but high performance and high capacity storage, we introduced our M.2 NVMe SSDs last year to specifically target cache usage,” says Julien Chen, Product Manager at Synology. “Our enterprise-class drives have been well received for their reliable performance and seamless integration with our product lineup.”

“Our two new, higher-capacity models announced today will allow users with bigger pools of hot data to better reap the benefits of the NVMe SSD cache, maximizing the performance an HDD array can output in a very economical way,” Julien Chen said.

Synology SNV3000 series SSD is designed to support heavy caching applications where data integrity is of paramount importance, including virtualization, high-traffic volume database storage, and AI and HPC projects.

With over 205,000/40,000 4K maximum random read/write IOPS1 and a 500 TBW endurance rating2, the SNV3000 series consistently delivers fast caching and effectively reduces latency in scenarios from multimedia post-production to database applications.

Full integration with Synology’s DiskStation Manager (DSM) enables lifetime analytics for each SNV3000 series unit based on actual workloads.3 Timely notifications when replacement is recommended help users make the most out of each drive’s lifespan.

More bandwidth for multi-user and data-intensive applications. “With more businesses relying on data-intensive applications, we see a consistent need for systems capable of handling higher data throughput,” says Peggy Weng. “That’s why we are introducing 25GbE NICs to our lineup.”

The E10G21-F2 and E25G21-F2 boost throughput and performance of compatible Synology systems for bandwidth-heavy tasks such as distributed computing, AI, or big data applications, backing up large numbers of devices, or supporting more simultaneous users for centralized file or block storage applications.

The E25G21-F2 is backward-compatible with 10GbE SFP+ equipment, reducing installation and implementation costs in hybrid networks.

Availability. The E10G21-F2, E25G21-F2, SNV3400-800G, and SNV3500-800G are available starting today from Synology resellers globally.

    1. Performance was measured using FIO on Linux with Queue Depth 256 (4 KB = 4,096 bytes).
    2. The endurance rating was calculated based on a JESD219A enterprise workload.
    3. DSM version requirement: 6.2.3-25426 or later version.
    4. 5 years or based on SSD S.M.A.R.T. indicators (displayed in DSM > Storage Manager), whichever comes first.

ASG sees growth as IT systems and Information Management solutions remain in high demand

ASG Technologies, a leading provider of solutions for the information-powered enterprise, today announced strong results from 2020, demonstrating a resilience in its own business and supporting its customers to do the same. The company thrived amid the disruption of COVID-19 – including a shift to work from home that pushed IT infrastructure to the brink and major industries ingesting more information than ever before, all amid new data and privacy regulations. Key to this success was ASG’s commitment to continued product innovation, the growth and success of its channel program and a focus on engaging thought leadership.

Continued product innovation. As the disruption caused by COVID-19 moved employees out of the office and into their homes, the need for secure IT infrastructure and comprehensive content and data management increased significantly. It was critical that organizations had the visibility and governance tools they needed to protect their most important asset: information. To support these efforts, ASG maintained focus on enhancing its products.

ASG released significant product updates in 2020, including two major updates to the Mobius Content Services Platform. With Mobius 10.1 and 11, ASG introduced new and improved support for Microsoft365 and containerized deployment solutions to enable customers to embrace remote work demands and accelerate their cloud strategies. ASG also launched ASG-TMON® PA Scope, a modern and intuitive cross-platform IT operations and performance management solution. Finally, with its launch of ASG-Enterprise Orchestrator, ASG introduced new DevOps toolchain and value stream management support enabling IT leaders and teams to extend and scale their DevOps initiatives across platforms, including mainframe.

This commitment to excellence resulted in significant market recognition. In November, ASG was recognized for the third year in a row by Gartner, Inc. as a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Metadata Management Solutions. Additionally, in October 2020, ASG was awarded its first patent for Publication of Applications Using Server-Side Virtual Screen Change Capture. The technology behind the patent will benefit enterprises moving from their legacy environments to modern remote work approaches while maintaining a high level of security, control and isolation – an especially critical need as enterprises continue to address the implications of remote work.

Customer growth, driven by success in the channel. In 2020, ASG established new customer relationships across the globe, including, IMT and Lands’ End. Overall customer growth was driven, in large part, by ASG’s continued strength in the channel through its industry-leading partners. This growth was driven by new innovative solution offerings by ASG’s partners, several new partnerships, and the expansion of the ASG Business Partner Program to new markets in 2020, including Latin America and Europe.

Engaging thought leadership. In addition to its commitment to supporting customers and partners with its IT Systems and Information Management solutions, ASG relied on its broad bench of experts to deliver the insightful thought leadership that so many of its customers, partners, and prospects were searching for to compensate for the loss of in-person meetings and conferences. The company shifted its annual EVOLVE conference to a virtual event, which took place October 6-7 and hosted 500 attendees from across the globe. Other key thought leadership highlights include:

    1. Digital: Disrupted: Launched in August 2020, ASG’s inaugural podcast, Digital: Disrupted, features host Paul Muller having conversations with industry experts focused on the unique angles of digital transformation. Recent episodes have featured ASG CEO Charles Sansbury; host of the YouTube show Technically Speaking Scott Peachy; and Gary Gruver of Gruver Consulting LLC.
    2. Arch2Arch: Launched at EVOLVE20, Arch2Arch is an interview series featuring conversations between ASG CTO Pascal Vitoux and ASG product architects focused on the daily challenges faced by architects, exciting innovations being explored, new technologies and solutions on the horizon.
    3. Women Leaders in Technology Group: Based on a staple program at ASG’s annual EVOLVE conference, ASG launched an ongoing program that brings together women who work in all facets of technology from across ASG, its partners and customers and beyond. The initiative includes quarterly conversations hosted by ASG’s Senior Vice President of Marketing Mary Wells with special guests, as well as a LinkedIn group for ongoing mentorship, collaboration, and insights.

ASG’s corporate growth and commitment to ensuring customers’ resilience and growth has not gone unnoticed in the industry. In the past year, ASG won fifteen industry awards, including the Data Breakthrough Awards’ Data Management Solution of the Year for its Data Intelligence solution; the American Business Awards’ Most Innovative Tech Company of the Year; the BIG Awards for Business’ Enterprise Company of the Year; and the Golden Bridge Awards’ Application Development Innovation for ASG-Zenith and Most Innovative Tech Company of the Year.
