Megaworld hotels win TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice

Belmont Hotel Manila and Savoy Hotel Manila, homegrown properties of Megaworld Hotels, have been recognized by TripAdvisor as winners of the Travelers’ Choice Award for 2020.

Based on a full year of reviews, prior to changes caused by the pandemic, winners are known for consistently receiving great traveler feedback, placing them in the top 10 percent of hospitality businesses around the globe.

In the restaurant category, Café Belmont and Savoy Café outlets also emerged winners of the 2020 Travelers’ Choice Awards for consistent positive reviews from diners.

Located at the Newport City across the NAIA Terminal 3 in Pasay City, Belmont is a five-year old 10-storey, 470-room property, while the two-year old Savoy is an 11-story, 684-room hotel.

Both also received the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence recognition last year.

Travelers’ Choice recognizes businesses that earn consistently great user reviews. The winners are among the 10 percent of businesses on TripAdvisor worldwide.

“Winners of the 2020 Travelers’ Choice Awards should be proud of this distinguished recognition,” says Kanika Soni, Chief Commercial Officer at TripAdvisor.

“Although it’s been a challenging year for travel and hospitality, we want to celebrate our partners’ achievements. Award winners are beloved for their exceptional service and quality. Not only are these winners well-deserving, but they are also a great source of inspiration for travelers as the world begins to venture out again,” she added.

According to Belmont Manila and Savoy Manila area general manager Avinash Menon, the awards have brought great honor for both properties, especially during this challenging period in the industry.

“I am humbled and grateful and would like to share this recognition to our committed team and valued guests for their trust and confidence.  These awards would have never been possible without their support, which inspires us to strive for exemplary service, propel us to the next level and prepare us for better days ahead,” he said.
