The 199-room Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo invites business and leisure travelers to unwind in one of its stylish rooms or suites equipped with amenities that make their every visit feel as comfortable as home.

With easy access to SM City Iloilo and a “Yes, I Can!” service attitude, Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo and its staff create a fantastic experience for guests so they enjoy a perfect city retreat.

From Iloilo International Airport, guests can take a taxi or a UV Express for the 20-minute drive along Old Iloilo-Capiz Road directly to the Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo. They can also rent a car and take advantage of its free parking while exploring the area’s tourist spots.

Sonny Alvaro, Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo general manager, describes the hotel as fresh, vibrant as well as very inviting, current, functional, accessible and practical.

It is connected to the southpoint section of the SM City Iloilo mall complex. A new connecting bridge allows guests “to step out even on a rainy day without getting wet,” Alvaro said.

The Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo is close to attractions such as Molo Mansion, Jaro Cathedral, Iloilo River Esplanade, Miag-ao Church and the Iloilo Convention Center, among other places.

Alvaro said leisure and business guests would appreciate the Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo’s short distance to the mall where they can shop, dine, etc. “This also provides ease of traveling for the guests – the practicality of it,” he added.

The Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo was well-received in the ‘City of Love’. Since the hotel was opened, Alvaro noted a large number of bookings particularly for meetings and events by local companies and local government units due to the hotel’s new facilities and convenience of access.

It has 56 standard rooms (25 square meters), 126 superior rooms (25 sq.m.) and 17 junior suites (47 sq.m.). Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo’s meeting venue can be divided into three separate rooms to create the perfect space for smaller gatherings or left open to accommodate up to 300 guests. There is also an area by the pool that’s ideal for an al fresco event.

The configuration of its rooms is well set out to cater to the needs of leisure or business travelers. “Some hotels are close to shopping facilities, but we are within the community,” Alvaro noted.

The hotel has sustainable initiatives such as providing soap and shampoo dispensers instead of individual containers, as well as using paper straws.

Its amenities include a fitness center and pools for both adults and kids.

Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo welcomes Americans and Asians as well as a small number of Japanese, Koreans and Indians, among other nationalities. Largely, its guests are locals and overseas Filipinos who are traveling with families and friends.

“We offer a good inventory of rooms which is definitely a big plus,” Alvaro said, adding the hotel incorporated touches of the Ilonggo culture like artworks. “Even for our dishes, we work as much as possible with local suppliers – fish, vegetables and other items.”

“We have to operate within the community and work closely with them,” he added.

The restaurants in the hotel are Áni and Dash, as well as the Lobby Bar and Pool Bar.

Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo aims to deliver the warm Ilonggo hospitality. Regardless of the brand, “where you are” is very relevant, Alvaro noted. He also puts a premium on the quality of service the hotel provides. It “should be at the highest level,” he said.

He mentioned Radisson Hotel Group’s global rewards program, too. A member enjoys exclusive promotions, offers and benefits, including discounts on food and beverages, complimentary room upgrades and more.

Alvaro said visitor arrival numbers are up in Iloilo, which now has more flight connections from Metro Manila, Pampanga and outside the country. “The signs are encouraging for the brands and owners, and the growth and hospitality in the country is going into the right direction,” he said.

Meanwhile, Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod is also being developed by SM Hotels and Conventions Corp. This is set to open in the third quarter of 2020.
