THE Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-National Capital Region is reviewing the minimum monthly salary of domestic workers in Metro Manila.
The Department of Labor and Employment-NCR said the wage board has conducted a series of public consultations and hearings involving stakeholders and other interest groups “to gather recommendations and positions on the compensation of domestic workers in the NCR.”
It was back in December 2017 when the NCR wage board approved a P1,000 salary increase for domestic workers, raising the minimum monthly pay to P3,500.
Republic Act 10361 or the Domestic Workers Act set the minimum monthly salary of domestic workers in the NCR at P2,500.
