Suspected pusher killed in Mindoro

    A SUSPECTED drug pusher was killed in a buy-bust operation in Oriental Mindoro yesterday.

    Police Lt. Col. Imelda Tolentino, MIMAROPA police spokesperson, identified the fatality as Crispin Garces Vedaño, 33, who was shot in the body by police. He was declared dead on arrival at the Renato Umali Reyes Hospital.

    Tolentino said an unidentified companion of Vedaño managed to escape.

    Tolentino said Vedaño sensed that he was transacting with a cop, pulled out a caliber .38 pistol and opened fire. Cops fired back, killing him.

    Aside from the gun, police recovered six sachets of suspected shabu, te buy-busy money and drug paraphernalia.

    A 29-year-old man was arrested in anti-drug operation in Mandaluyong City yesterday.

    Col. Remigio Sedanto, local police chief, identified the fatality as Jeffrey Agsaulio. Seized from him were three sachets of suspected shabu.
