PNP revamp affects 13 generals, 9 colonels

    PNP chief Debold Sinas ordered a revamp of the police force yesterday that affected 13 generals and nine colonels.

    One of the officials affected is Maj. Gen. Emmanuel Licup, the head of the Directorate for Comptrollership, who will reach the mandatory retirement age of 56 this Friday. He was re-assigned to the office of the PNP chief as he awaits his official retirement.

    Licup’s post at the Diretorate for Comptrollership will go to Brig. Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr., the head of the Directorate for Information and Communciation Techonology Management (DICTM).

    Brig. Gen. Alexander Sampaga, from the office of PNP chief, was designated as the successor of Azurin at the DICTM.

    Ten other generals were given new assignments, including Drug Enforcement Group chief Brig. Gen. Ronald Lee, who was designated as the new Cordillera regional police director.

    Lee replaced Brig. Gen. Brig. Gen. R’win Pagkalinawan, who was re-assigned to the Police Holding and Accounting Unit (PHAU) under the Directorate for Police Records and Management.

    Brig. Gen. Remus Medina, from the office of the PNP chief, will take over as DEG chief, replacing Lee.

    Brig. Gen. Julius Lagiwid was also assigned to the PHAU, from the Directorate for Police Community Relations, while Brig. Gen. Randolf Balonglong, from the Ilocos region police office, was assigned to the office of the PNP chief.

    Also re-assigned to the PHAU were Brig. Gen. Erson Digal, from the Directorate for Logistics; Brig. Gen. Conrado Gongon, from the Communications and Electronics Service (CES); and Brig. Gen. Samuel Rodriguez, from the Bangsamoro regional police.

    Brig. Gen. Eden Ugale, from the office of the PNP chief, was re-assigned to the Bangsamoro regional police while Brig. Gen. Patrick Villacorte was assigned to the CES, from the Western Visayas regional police.

    The others given new assignments were Col. Salvador Alacyang, from Anti-Kidnapping Group, to Eastern Visayas regional police; Col. Fernando Ortega, from the National Capital Region Police Office, to the office of the PNP chief; Col. Edwin Wagan, from Eastern Visayas regional police, to Directorate for Logistics; Col. Rudolph Dimas, from CALABARZON regional police, to Western Visayas regional police;

    Col. Emmnuel Hebron, from NCRPO, to CALABARZON regional police; Col. Enrique Magalona, from Directorate for Integrated Police Operations-Western Mindanao, to Ilocos regional police; Col. Marlou Martinez, from Directorate for Investigation and Detective Management, to the Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group; Col. Rafael Montilla, from IMEG, to Civil Security Group (CSG); and Col. Randey Peralta, from CSG to Office of the Chief PNP.
