A SECURITY guard and his brother were arrested after selling a kilo of suspected shabu worth P6.8 million to a Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency operative in Port Area, Manila earlier this week.
A report reaching PDEA chief Aaron Aquino identified the suspects as security guard Hairodin Kasim, alias Ali, 36; and his brother, Norhan, 27, a tricycle driver, residents of Baseco, Port Area.
The two were nabbed by operatives of the PDEA-Mimaropa and PDEA-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao around 2:15 p.m. on 13th St. in Port Area after handing 20 sachets of shabu to a poseur buyer from the PDEA.
The shabu were inside a yellow Chinese tea packaging labeled “Guanying Wang, the report said.
Aside from shabu, also recovered from the suspects were a P1,000 bill, the boodle money, and two cell phones.
A suspected drug dealer was arrested by policemen on Wednesday afternoon at Plaza Libertad in Barangay Zamora, Iloilo City.
Anwar Macadatu, 36, has pending arrest warrants for violation of the anti-illegal drugs law and illegal possession of firearms.
Macadatu was arrested by a team composed of PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group and South Cotabato PNP.
AKG spokesman Lt. Col. Jowel Saliba said Macadatu is a high-value target included in President Duterte’s narcolist.
Meanwhile, police seized more than P100,000 worth of suspected shabu and nabbed seven alleged drug pushers in three separate buy-bust operations in the cities of Muntinlupa and Taguig on Wednesday night.
Nabbed in Muntinlupa City by operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit were Valentine Garcia, 34; Mary Grace De Vera, 44; and Melchor Serviento, 51. Seized from them suspects were four sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P34,000.
Also arrested in Muntinlupa was alleged drug pusher Eric Datinggaling. Seized from him were six sachets of suspected shabu worth P47,600.
Also nabbed were Gerardo Lobres, 24; Darwin Alcantara, 31; and Genesis Paul Gabinete, 21.
Seven persons were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Marikina city yesterday and suspected shabu worth P1.7 million was seized.
