P54.4M shabu seized in Muntinlupa; 2 pushers fall

TWO suspected drug pushers were arrested and eight kilos of suspected shabu worth P54.4 million were seized by joint operatives in Muntinlupa City on Saturday, the PNP reported yesterday.

PNP chief Debold Sinas identified the suspects as Renzy Louise Javier Viscarra and Red Lewy Javier Viscarra, who were nabbed around 5 p.m. in a buy-bust operation at a fastfood outlet in Barangay Tunasan.

Sinas said the two, members of a drug distribution network, were nabbed by a joint team from the PNP, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Intelligence Service of the AFP and National Intelligence Coordinating Agency.

Apart from the shabu, the lawmen also seized a Toyota Innova, three mobile phones, and the boodle money.

Sinas said the government’s fight against illegal drugs remains relentless. Recent figures from the PDEA disclosed that over 14,000 out of the more 42,000 barangays nationwide are still subject to drug clearing operations.

Three jobless men were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Pasig City on Saturday, with P13,600 worth of suspected dangerous drugs seized.

Col. Moises Villaceran Jr., local police chief, identified the three as Ervin Bolivar, 27; Rod Bernardo, 37; and Lando De Leon, 38.
