OPERATIVES seized six kilos of shabu worth P40.8 million and arrested two suspected drug pushers in an anti-narcotics operation in Cebu City yesterday.
The Central Visayas Regional Police Office identified the suspects as Reynaldo Si-it Atillo, 47, and Reynante Cabije Tacatani, 36.
They were nabbed by Cebu City policemen in a buy-bust operation in Fatima Homes in Barangay Inayawan, Cebu City.
Atillano yielded a kilo of shabu worth P6.8 million while Tacatani yielded five kilos of shabu worth P34 million.
Police said Tacatani is a “direct contact” of a certain Jao, said to be the leader of a drug ring supplying illegal drugs in the city.
Central Visayas Regional Police director Brig. Gen. Albert Ignatius Ferro said anti-drug operations remain unrelenting even during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We will go after you and let you account for your actions,” Ferro told people involved in the illegal drugs trade.
