JOINT PNP and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency operatives arrested a drug pusher who yielded three kilos of shabu worth P20.4 million in Jolo, Sulu on Sunday, police reported yesterday.
PNP officer-in-charge Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar identified the suspect as Ejek Ali Abduhalim, 44, a resident of Barangay Bas-Nonok in Lugus town, Sulu.
Abduhalim was nabbed at around 11 a.m. during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Walled City, Jolo.
Seized from him were two kilos of shabu and two mobile phones.
“The PNP is working double-time to stop the proliferation of illegal drugs in every Region across the country, as we continue to intensify our anti-illegal drugs operations,” said Eleazar.
PDEA-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao chief Juvenal Azurin said: “This drug haul in Jolo is one of the largest so far in recent memory.
“We owe the success of this operation to the collaborative efforts of the security sectors in the area which despite prevailing issues, continued to work hand-in-hand to put an end to the drug menace,” added Azurin.
