OPERATIVES of the PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group arrested two foreigners in an operation that led to the rescue of a kidnapped Malaysian in Angeles City, Pampanga on Tuesday afternoon.

Brig. Gen. Jonnel Estomo, PNP AKG director, identified the arrested suspects as Rano Herman, an Indonesian; and Ong Way Plak, a Malaysian.

They were arrested after receiving 12,000 RMB (equivalent to P84,000) from a ransom courier at the parking lot of SM City Clark.

Police said the 12,000 RMB was an additional demand as the suspects had already received an undisclosed amount of money from the family of their victim, Lee Jun Sheng, a Malaysian.

Col. Villaflor Bannawagan, PNP AKG Luzon Filed Unit commander, said his men interrogated Rano and Ong after their arrest and they pointed to room 1416 at the 4th floor of a dormitory in Sun Valley subdivision in Angeles City where they kept Lee.
