Duterte lifts deployment ban

    PRESIDENT Duterte on Monday night said the deployment ban on health workers has been lifted with priority deployment being given to those who have signed contracts.

    The President, in his weekly public address, said he hopes those who would remain in the country will help government in its efforts to address the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

    “The ban on the deployment of Filipino health workers with existing contracts abroad is now lifted. Iyong may mga kontrata na perfected na, there is already the contract signed, the nurses, the doctors and other healthcare professionals who signed contracts with employers abroad this year would now be allowed to leave (The ban on the deployment of Filipino health workers with existing contracts abroad is now lifted.
