GOVERNMENT security forces arrested a ranking communist leader in an operation in Barangay Rosario, San Pedro City, Laguna late Tuesday night.

Antonia Setias Dizon, 60, who reportedly uses the aliases Antonia Sietas-Dison/Tonet and a resident of Villa Olympia Village, was nabbed on the strength of an arrest warrant for murder issued by acting Executive Judge Lou Nueva of Regional Trial Court Branch 7, Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur.

Police said Dizon is the secretary of the New People’s Army National Organizing Department. She reportedly replaced Rafael Baylosis and Edelberto Silva after they were arrested for illegal possession of firearms and murder, respectively.

Police, however, could not give details of the murder case.

A loaded caliber .380 pistol, 48 bullets, 10 pieces blasting caps and other bomb-making components, subversive documents, a laptop computer, two cellphones, and other personal stuff were also seized at Dizon’s residence
