7 suspected pushers fall; P18.4M shabu, cocaine seized


    POLICE operatives arrested seven suspected drug pushers and seized 2.4 kilos of suspected shabu and cocaine with a combined street value of P18.4 million in Bacolod City and Zamboanga City.

    Nabbed in Bacolod yesterday were live-in partners Carline Lunares, 23, and Nester Brinosa, 23; both of Barangay Handumanan, and Lunares’ brother, Richard, 30, of Barangay Bata.

    The Western Visayas Regional Police Office described Lunares as a high-value target.

    The three were nabbed at Purok Datiles, Barangay Handumanan at around 9 a.m. in a buy-bust operation.

    Seized from them were suspected shabu worth P16.3 million packed in 49 sachets, a sling bag, a backpack, a cell phone, and the buy-bust money.

    The four others were arrested in Zamboanga City on Monday after they sold 400 grams of suspected cocaine worth P2.1 million to a poseur-buyer.

    Jawawi Landasan Alih, alias Jhonny; Abdel Joran Nasser; Leo Myr Dela Calzada Toribio; Alfred Rico Alvarez, residents of Zamboanga City, were nabbed in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Zone-4 in Zamboanga City at around 5 p.m.
