OPERATIVES of the Quezon City Police District killed four men who held up a gasoline station in Barangay Payatas early Tuesday, police reported yesterday.
A report to QCPD director Col. Ronnie Montejo said members of the Batasan Police Station received a call from the employees of a gasoline station that eight men riding in tandem on four motorcycles, pretending as customers, robbed them of their valuables and the gas station’s earnings.
Responding policemen spotted the suspects on Molave Street. Instead of surrendering, they reportedly fired at the cops.
A firefight ensued which led to the killing of four suspects. The four others managed to escape on two motorcycles.
Recovered from the scene were three .38 caliber revolvers, a .22 caliber revolver, 15 bullet shells, six deformed bullet slugs, an IPhone cellphone, a weighing scale, six sachets of shabu, two motorcycles owned by the gunmen, and P2,200 cash believed to be part of the earnings of the gas station.
