THE Department of Foreign Affairs yesterday said 19 Filipinos were injured last week in a road accident involving a public utility vehicle in Italy.
The DFA said the accident occurred in Via Cassia, north of Rome, on October 16.
It said three of the 19 Filipinos sustained wounds on the forehead while two had fractures on their shoulder.
“According to the doctors who evaluated them, no one was critically injured,” the DFA said ,adding that all were given proper medical attention.
“The Embassy will continue to coordinate with Italian authorities as conduct of investigation to determine the cause of the accident is still in progress,” the DFA added.
There are about 108,000 Filipinos living and working in Italy. – Ashzel Hachero
