SCHOOL CHILDREN of the Looc Elementary School in Nasubu, Batangas were the recipients of 400 pairs of shoes and 100 sets of school supplies from SM Foundation in line with SM Store’s “Share Shoes (Good for the Sole)” campaign. Program partners were Bata Philippines and the Association of Certified Public Accountants in Commerce and Industry (ACPACI) Philippines.
The school children were identified as one of those heavily affected by the Taal volcano eruption last January.
Last year, SM Foundation and the Manila Southcoast Development Corporation turned over a fully furnished two-storey, four-classroom building to the Looc Elementary School. It was SM Foundation’s 100th school building donated under its school building program.
The distribution of shoes and school supplies was a fun-filled occasion for the school children as ACPACI also organized party for them.
