Campus life at PWU


    A century ago seven women had a dream, their vision was to prepare young women for leadership and service, successfully combining homemaking and career.

    Today, this time women together with men are exposed to a holistic education one with quality and integrity.

    This being University month, The flurry of activities at the PWU campuses in Taft avenue, Indiana and Quezon City, will also include the installation of its 10th president, Marco Alfredo Benitez, the culmination of the centennial year celebration and the dramatic turn towards the next century. The Homecoming which will be celebrated on Feb 22 , at the Fiesta Pavilion of the Manila Hotel will showcase some dramatic highlights in the life of the University presented in songs and dances.

    While the focus is trained to this big event, campus life has never been this enriching. Just this week, O my G (a grow your own herbs and veggies club) opened its club doors to more members with the blessings of the new university president. Its adviser is Pwu faculty and core performing artist of Bayanihan Pam Corales.

    The ongoing book club search for new members, headed by Petra Elepano, also PWU faculty and core artist of Bayanihan went on open critiquing and debate sessions attended by other members of the PWU community. This and many more from sports, dance, art exhibitions, outreach projects through Project Pag ibig, musical concerts, sessions on wellness and cross cultural exposures are handed on a silver platter right at the PWU campus. Interested alumni, friends and future students are welcome to the campus at any time.
