It is precisely because of the overarching sense of gloom that celebrations become all the more important. With the Yuletide season arriving, the simple act of seeing a Christmas tree becomes a poignant reminder of hope and of better days ahead.

While this year’s celebration may be a little different than what people used to, due to the need for social distancing and the rules in the new normal, all Marriott hotels in the Philippines joined together for a festive celebration with a promise of peace and all good things ahead.

Manila Marriott, Sheraton Manila, Clark Marriott, Sheraton Manila Bay, and Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo simultaneously welcomed the festive season together with their most meaningful tree lighting ever.

Over the course of the virtual event, the hotel executives gave away staycation vouchers as they announced the promos that the hotels will be offering over the course of the holidays, such as Christmas hampers, festive treats, feast packages, as well as dining and staycation promos.

It has become a tradition for hotels to partner with charitable institutions as a way of giving back, and this year is no different despite the difficulties the industry faces in light of the pandemic.

The Manila Marriott, Sheraton Manila, and Clark Marriott once again partnered with Save the Children Philippines, and launched a Charity Hamper where people can gift a Noche Buena dinner for one child from Save the Children.

The Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo, on the hand, has partnered with SOS Children’s Village Iloilo this year, encouraging everyone to come and donate books, clothes, art materials, and toys for the children.
