ICONIC American sneaker brand K-Swiss was recently re-launched at SM Makati, with its mission to outfit and inspire the next generation.

K-Swiss was established in 1966 when two Swiss brothers, Art and Ernie Brunner moved to California to create a footwear brand focused on tennis. As avid skiers and tennis players, the brothers took inspiration from leather ski boots to create a court shoe that supported the aggressive side-to-side movement of tennis.

Among K-Swiss’ best known designs is the K-Swiss Classic, which was introduced in 1966, and hailed as the first all-leather tennis shoe. Celebrated for its timeless appeal, the shoe eventually gained popularity off the court. Other popular designs are ST329, the CR Castle and the Court Pro II among others.

K-Swiss is available at selected SM Stores nationwide.
