ALFAMART Philippines recently opened its 1000th store in Barangay Santiago, General Trias, Cavite.
Harvey Ong, Alfamart chief operating officer, thanked customers, employees, business partners, and communities for their unwavering support.
However, this is not by any means the finish line, Ong said. “This is the start of bigger opportunities to grow with everyone we encounter.”
Zeus Cuenca, a shift leader at Alfamart Mambog 1, Bacoor, Cavite branch, said this store milestone represents their dedication to provide service to communities especially during the pandemic.
“The fact that we are providing a necessary service makes us really see the impact and value of our work.”
Jessica Maniago, a newly hired logistics assistant at Alfamart’s Mexico, Pampanga distribution center, admired the convenience store’s hiring process despite the global health crisis.
“Many companies had to let go of their people. Instead of retrenching, we hired so we could give opportunities to those who need them,” Maniago added.
Alfamart consigns and carries many brands, as well as subleases extra spaces to small and medium enterprises as it values partnerships with small businesses.
