A tribute to fan letters

Michael Kors has released new capsule collection, “Letters to Leo”, designed in collaboration with Leo Wu, the brand’s APAC Brand Ambassado.

In designing the capsule, Leo drew inspiration from his fans. He receives so many letters from his fans that he has become known as “Lei Lei Xin,” which translates to “Leo Leo Letter.” The motif for this year features the MK charm on an envelope graphic, symbolizing the special relationship (and inside joke) between the megastar and his fans.

“This capsule with Michael Kors was my way to give something back to my fans and to celebrate the letters that I receive every day,” says Leo Wu. “For me, the envelope symbolizes the idea of sending goodwill and joy into the world, which is why I chose to incorporate it throughout these products. It’s all about spreading the love.”

The capsule includes a unisex, oversized fit T-shirt and hoodie, a bucket hat Leo’s crossbody flight bag and the travel pouch. Each product is either splashed in the MK Signature logo print, Leo’s handwriting or embellished with the special “love letter” envelope design. For the campaign, Leo was captured in his co-designed pieces and proudly displaying some of his fan letters.
