What a pity that Moira dela Torre and Piolo Pascual’s first digital concert under Star Records is no longer pushing through.

We heard it was Piolo who begged off, but we have yet to hear of his reason.

Quite a number of people are sad to hear about it, because they expect the two to do a duet of Moira’s most admired new single, “Paubaya,” which she also composed.

Moira’s husband, Jason Marvin Hernandez, is a singer-songwriter, too.

“Paubaya,” which in English means “to entrust,” has a music video that features the former real life love team of Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto.

They have now parted ways – as lovers and as a love team. It’s likely that one or both of them gave way or nagpaubaya, but Moira said she did not think of the two ex-couple when she composed “Paubaya.”

“Nagkataong umakma lang daw sa kuwento nina Joshua at Julia ang theme ng awitin,” said a kibitzer.

“Which might as well be the song of two individuals na dating nagkaibigan, naghiwalay, pero nanatiling magkaibigan,” the kibitzer continued.

In real life, Julia is rumored to be dating Gerald Anderson. Joshua, meanwhile, is said to be loveless.

He has been consistent. Last year, it was a helicopter ride to Coron. This year, he flew her to Balesin.

    XIAN LIM and KIM CHIU

If last Valentine, Xian Lim flew in a helicopter his girlfriend, Kim Chiu, and his mom and grandma, to a beach in Palawan, guess where he and Kim– repeat, just the two of them – went recently?

“In Balesin Island,” reported someone close to the two. “At via chopper ulit.”

“The place, we heard, is truly expensive, as it is a tropical island and only members of the resort, plus their guests, are welcome to enjoy the exclusive enclave.

“Moneyed na nga talaga si Xian, who is no not just an actor, but also a director and a producer, too.”

Xian is now being managed by Viva Artist Center.

Balesin is where Sorsogon Governor Chiz Escudero wed his wife, Heart Evangelista, six years ago.

The couple have no children of their own, but Chiz has twins, Chesi and Quino, from a previous relationship.

The 12-year-old are close to their stepmom.

“At sinusuklian din ni Heart ng matinding pagmamahal ang kanyang pag-aalga sa kanila,” a friend of the couple’s said.

Vic Sotto revealed to Pia Arcangel of “Tunay Na Buhay,” that he used to wear girls’ clothes when he was a small boy.

Vic has three elder brothers. Senate President Tito Sotto is Vic’s kuya.

“I am their youngest,” Vic added. “Kaya sunud sunuran.

“Obvious na sabik sila sa kapatid na babae. At ako naman, paubaya,” he continued, smiling.

Vic, 66, was known as a ladies’ man, dating some of the country’s most beautiful.

He was only in his 20s when he married Dina Bonnevie, a Regal baby. Vic and Dina have two children, Danica and Oyo, who have given them several apos.

Oyo’s beautiful wife, former actress Kristine Hermosa, is pregnant with their fifth baby.

After Dina, Vic fell in love with Coney Reyes, his co-host in “Eat Bulaga!”

He and Coney are the parents of Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, now 31.

Vic also has a daughter, Paulina, with former actress Angela Luz.

With his current wife, Pauleen Luna, Vic has a three-year-old daughter, Talitha.

Vic continues to host “Eat Bulaga” and also appears in the weekly “Daddy’s Girl,” with Maine Mendoza, who plays his daughter. He also produces the show.

Ruffa Gutierrez happily admits she has everything she aspired for.

This she says even after her unsuccessful marriage to Turkish businessman Yilmaz Bektas.

“At least, nagkaroon ako ng dalawang beautiful daughters, sina Lorin and Venice, who both live with me,” she said.

The 46-year-old actress just broke up with boyfriend of six years, French Israeli businessman Jordan Mouyal. And guess what? She promises not to fall in love again soon.

She wants to keep busy with her showbiz career, which, she said, is doing very well.

She has the successful series, “The House Arrest of Us,” with Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. She may soon start with a new one.

She also plans to resume her studies this year.

“More than ever, I’ve realized the importance of education,” she said. “Kaya nga hanga ako kay Lorin, as between showbiz and her studies, she prefers the latter. She might enroll in a university in California.”
