JUANCHO Trivino is happy to be included as a host in “Unang Hirit” which is now celebrating its 20th anniversary.

“Dahil dito, ang dami kong nabisitang ibang lugar sa bansa and met a lot of new people,” he says.

And this is also where he met his bride-to-be, his “Unang Hirit” co-host Joyce Pring. It was Arnold Clavio who revealed in the “Unang Hirit” 20th anniversary presscon that they are getting married soon. They now admit that they’ve been officially engaged since August when Juancho proposed to Joyce while they were in Boracay where Joyce’s mother celebrated her birthday. Juancho gave her a princess-cut diamond engagement ring.

They’re both of the right age, 26 years old, and they have both undergone pre-marital counseling in church. The wedding will take place in the first quarter of 2020 and it will be an intimate garden wedding.

One of their principal sponsors is sure to be the main anchor in “Unang Hirit,” Arnold, who declared in the presscon that he is personally happy “sa namuong pag-iibigan nina Juancho at Joyce ditto sa ‘Unang Hirit.’ They’re both very lucky to have each other.”

Aiko Melendez has gained a lot of haters because of her contravida role as Kendra who maltreats three orphan girls in GMA-7’s hit afternoon drama, “Primadonnas.” “I know maraming naiinis sa ’kin dun,” she says. “Just like when I played Emilia before sa ‘Wildflower’ na andami ko ring haters. But then again, I want to remind the viewers that I’m just playing a role po, so magalit kayo kay Kendra pero sana, huwag kay Aiko, please.”

Aiko has just been tapped by F2N Fortune Marketing to endorse their Theobroma Superfood products available in Powdered Cocoa, Coffee Mix, Juice and also as beauty bar soap. “I learned about it from director Peter Serrano,” she says. “I was overweight then and my BP was 150/100. Sabi niya, it will help you lose weight. So I tried their superfood and after only 3 days, my BP became normal. And now, as you can see, I also lost so much weight. And now, kinuha na nila akong endorser.”

Aiko was asked at her launch as Theobroma ambassador if she knew that her ex-husband Jomari Yllana has just been denounced by his current partner, Joy Reyes, for abandoning her and their two kids. The first one is one-year-old and the other, only a few months old.

Joy alleged that Jomari left them for another woman.

“I also just read about it and I don’t think I’m in a position to make any comment,” she says. “May karelasyon din akon gayon, Zambales Vice Governor Jay Khonghun. My prayer is sana, anuman ang problema, maayos nila kasi may mga batang involved. Kahit ano pang sabihin, Jomari is the father of my son, Andre, who’s now 21, and although we’re not really on good terms, I still wish they can settle this privately. Kasi I’m a mother too, at sana maibigay naman sa mga bata kung ano ang nararapat para sa kanila. I don’t want to speak ill of the fathers of my two kids as I don’t want them to grow up na may sama ng loob sa mga ama nila. And I think that’s the reason why I am so blessed. Kasi ako, kung may kusa, ‘di maraming salamat. Never akong namilit kasi I continue to work hard on my own to avoid these kinds of issues. There is no room for hatred in my heart kasi nga hindi naman ako pinababayaan ni Lord. I will just continue to pray for Jomari and Joy na sana, maayos nila ang lahat sa mabuting paraan for the sake of their two children.”

Jay Manalo was very candid with his answers during the open forum for the movie, “Love is Love,” where he plays the long-time lover of Greta, the gay owner of a resort played by Raymond Bagatsing. When asked who he’d prefer to have an affair with, matronas or bading, he chose the latter. What is his reason?

“Mas marami akong friends na bading kesa matrona and for me, mas malawak ang pang-unawa ng mga bading,” he says. “Mga matron kasi, mas wild mag-isip, nagseselos agad.

Hindi katulad ng mga bading na mas nakakaunawa. Mas nakakaintindi.”

Has he had an experience with a bading? “Oo naman! Pero wag nyo nang ipadetalye. Mamaya nalang, magkuwentuhan tayo.”

Does he have a kissing scene with Raymond in “Love is Love”?

“Secret. But if ever, hindi ko naman first time gagawin‘yun. I’ve had kissing scenes with Dennis Trillo before in ‘AishiteImasu’ at torrid talaga‘yun. Bilang aktor, wala naming kaibhan ang halikan ng dalawang lalaki sa babae at lalaki kung nagiging professional ka lang at ginagawa ang trabaho mo bilang aktor.”

Jay is also a certified ladies man, having 12 children with six different women. He’s still young at only 44, but he already has two grandchildren. This is why he is not afraid to admit that he has really sown his wild oats and also had experiences with gays. He knows that this point in his life and career, such a confession will not do him anymore harm.

Dr. Vicki Belo officially introduced Jane de Leon, the new Darna, as her latest endorser as Belo Medical Group celebrated its 30th anniversary at its new Belo clinic located at One Bonifacio High Street Mall in BGC.

Dr. Vicki Belo and husband Dr. Hayden Kho collaborated with world-renowned Filipino architecture and design firm Budji + Royal. According to internationally famous interior designer Budji Layug, everything was designed based on the Belo brand’s unique personality.

“A fresh new face will represent us,” says Dr. Belo at her new clinic’s inauguration, “the country’s next big star who will be playing the iconic superhero role of Darna, Jane de Leon.”

De Leon, whose star continues to rise, represents the beginning of a new phase in Belo and its constant evolution to better serve the needs of their patients. It remains to be the only aesthetic clinic partner of the Department of Tourism.

Jane, who took centerstage in a stunning Rajo Laurel creation, said she is thrilled to be the new face of Belo.

“It’s an honor and a privilege to be a Belo endorser,” she says. “Dati, dream ko lang mapabilang sa kanilang endorsers who I see on giant billboards. Now, it has become true.”
