‘Some actors might be idle because of the pandemic, but definitely not Sanya who has two big regular shows.’
SANYA Lopez feels so blessed to be chosen as the new leading lady of Gabby Concepcion in the new GMA TV series, “First Yaya,” playing the title role no less. She will replace Marian Rivera, who begged off after she learned that the show’s taping will be locked in and she felt she cannot bear to be taken away from her two kids, Zia and Ziggy, for a long time.
Sanya first gained fame as Danaya in the reboot of “Encantadia” then went on her own in soaps like “Haplos,” “Dahil sa Pag-ibig” and “Cain at Abel.” She says she couldn’t believe it when she was informed she will be taking the place of Marian in “First Yaya,” a real breakout role, and she feels it a great honor to be paired with Gabby Concepcion no less.
Gabby plays the role of the country’s vice president who will later be elected as the President. He is a widower with two kids and Sanya will be playing the children’s nanny.
Romance will later bloom between the president and the smart yaya.
Sanya is really fortunate as she has also started taping as the leading lady of Sen. Bong Revilla in “Agimat ng Agila.” “First Yaya” is scheduled to be seen daily while “Agimat ng Agila” is meant to be shown on weekends. Some actors might be idle because of the pandemic, but definitely not Sanya who has two big regular shows.

What Beauty doesn’t know is that Jane or Rissa is the new girlfriend of RK. “I Got You” is a unique love triangle with a twist from hit moviemaker, Dan Villegas of “English Only, Please” and “Exes Baggage.” This will be shown on Sundays after “Sunday Noontime Live.”
Winwyn Marquez is always being asked how she feels now that ex-boyfriend Mark Herras is about to be a dad again (he had a previous love child), with his current fiancee, Nicole Donesa.
“Honestly, I’m very happy for them,” she said. “Matagal na kaming wala ni Mark and given the chance, I would like to see them and congratulate them personally.”
She is in the episode “High Rise Lovers” of GMA’s drama anthology, “I Can See You.” She plays the third wheel in the marriage of Lovi Poe (Samantha) and Tom Rodriguez (Luis).
Their marriage has been deteriorating as they have conflicting views and objectives in life.
“My character as Isabel is a free-spirited young woman. A passionate artist and singer who wants to experience love but avoids the serious commitment that goes with it,” said Winwyn. “So ako ‘yun magiging dahilan kung bakit magkakaroon ng big conflict sa mag-asawa. Don’t miss it as I’m sure a lot of people can relate with it and you’ll gain a lot of insights about relationships when you watch it. Magaganda ‘yung confrontation scenes namin dito ni Lovi as the wife and the kabit, so abangan nyo.”
