Pangasinan lass vies for Miss Tourism Int’l virtual pageant

KATHIE Lee Berco, 20, from Alaminos, Pangasinan, will be the Philippine representative to the Miss Tourism International 2020-2021 pageant which will be conducted online because of the pandemic.

Berco, a 5’6” Political Science student of San Sebastian College, Manila, was handpicked by Ovette Ricalde of Megastar Productions, the appointed national director for the online tilt, after long-time franchise holder Mutya Pilipinas Inc. decided to skip this year’s contest because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The reigning Miss Tourism International is Cyrille Payumo, the fifth Filipina to win the coveted crown.

The second edition of the Philippine-based Mr. World Noble King pageant will be held from December 14 to 21, 2020 in Okinawa, Japan.

Twenty-two contestants worldwide are vying for three titles namely: Mr. World Noble King, Mr. Universe Noble King and Mr. International Noble King.

The Philippines is being represented by Ryu Yokohama.

The other contestants are representing the USA, Germany, Peru, Nepal, Spain, Bangla Desh, China and several areas in Japan and India.

This will be a special edition of the international pageant since all candidates are Japan-based. Japan has not yet opened up its borders to international visitors. Last year’s winners – Mr. World Noble King Trevor Goldman (Fil-USA), Mr. Universe Noble King Diluka Rajapaksha (Sri Lanka) and Mr. International Noble King Ryo Ryo (Japan) won’t be able to crown their successors.

Mr. World Noble King 2020 will be hosted by Glawis Japan and produced by Reika Ootaka under the pageant management of Megastar Production Company.
