No matter what political beliefs they hold – music is the tie that binds Noel Cabangon and Ice Seguerra. And it is a resilient and harmonious bond that is more important and more lasting than politics.

At the press con of “Kwerdas,” Noel and Ice say they have never let their views affect their friendship.

“Music is more important,” Noel maintains.

Noel and Ice come together in “Kwerdas,” slated on November 23 at The Tent at Solaire Resort and Casino. At the press con, both artists expressed their admiration for each other.

Ice has always been an admirer of Noel, who, in turn, says Ice has improved greatly as a guitar player. When it comes to their sounds, Noel says Ice is “more hugot, while I’m folksy.” Together, it’s pure harmony.

“Kwerdas” is part of Solaire Gigs Series, according to Audie L. Gemora, the resort’s head of entertainment. Audie is proud of Solaire’s part in promoting OPM artists and music, which started with their shows featuring Pilita Corrales, Rico J. Puno, Martin Nievera, and more.

“Kwerdas” is a “chill concert,” said Gemora, where the audience may enjoy the soothing voices of Ice and Noel over a round of drinks and pulutan.

Tickets to “Kwerdas” are available on
