    FINALLY, Queen of Hearts Foundation Inc. led by its founder and CEO Ma. Mitzie Go-Gil, crowned the winners of Mrs. Queen of Hearts Philippines 2020 in a live event, seven months after they were presented to members of media and four months after holding virtual preliminary competitions. The coronation rites were held last October 30 at the Dusit D2 Residences in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig. Strict health protocols were observed at the venue.

    Crowned as the next representatives of the Philippines in various international tilts for married women were: Annette Supan Mendoza from Pampanga, Mrs. Worldwide Philippines; Louise Suzanne Alba-Lopez from Quezon City, Mrs. Asia Pacific Global Philippines; Darling Topacio Edralin from Misamis Oriental, Mrs. Asia Pacific All Nations Philippines; Joanna Krisanta La Madrid from Ilagan, Isabela, Mrs. Asia Pacific Tourism Philippines; Glovel Tasico from Batangas, Mrs. Asia Pacific Intercontinental; and Sarima Paglas from Maguindanao, Mrs. Asia Pacific Cosmopilitan.

    Originally scheduled for April, the finals was postponed due to strict quarantine restrictions imposed by government health authorities due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Ms. Go-Gil decided to proceed with the virtual preliminary competitions while at the same time, continued with their charity missions to help indigent families especially their children.

    “We decided to proceed with the live finals as it is required by our Singapore-based international director Justina Quek,” Go-Gil said.

    Special titles were also awarded to Catherine Jordas Flores of Ilocos Norte, Mrs. Queen of Hearts; and Ivy Dianna Manzon-Bo of Cavite, Mrs. Queen of Hearts Tourism.

    The pageant, involving their past and current queens, advocates for women empowerment and the welfare of indigent families. Their latest charity project involves soliciting for donations in cash and in kind for the victims of Typhoon Rolly in the Bicol Region, for a relief mission to the devastated areas on November 15.
