ROSENDA Polintan Casaje, a 30-year-old registered nurse and entrepreneur from Malolos, Bulacan, is now in Singapore, along with 20 other delegates worldwide to vie for the 2nd Mrs. Global Universe Pageant to be held in the Lion City on March 15.
Rose, as Casaje is fondly, is married with two children and was handpicked by Queen of Hearts Foundation president and Mrs. Global Universe national director Mitzie Go-Gil to be the country’s representative to the international pageant for married women that promotes culture, tourism and women empowerment.
Actually, Rose was set to represent Bulacan in the upcoming Mrs. Queen of Hearts Philippines scheduled for next month but because of the proximity of the date of the finals of Mrs. Global Universe, she was plucked out of the roster of official candidates to be the Philippine delegate to the Singapore pageant.
Born in Calumpit, Bulacan, Rose graduated with a degree in Nursing from La Consolacion University and is the founder and CEO of Gorgeous Glow Philippines, a company that runs health and beauty clinics in Malolos and Quezon City.
As a nurse amidst the current global crisis on COVID-19, Rose took precautionary measures and brought with her a kit with sufficient amounts of multi vitamins, face masks and hand sanitizers.
Preparing for barely a month after she was given her international assignment, Rose vows to represent the Philippines well in the pageant. She will be wearing an Ibong Adarna inspired national costume by Marvin Garcia and an evening gown by Manny Halasan. She has prepared a Latin dance number for the talent competition.
The delegates of Mrs. Global Universe will be judged in four categories: talent, national costume, evening gown and interview.
The finals on March 15 will be held at The Country Club in Singapore where reigning Mrs. Global Universe Kirsten Lensink Hauser of the Netherlands will crown her successor.
