The new Kapamilya series, “Walang Hanggang Paalam,” which started airing Monday, September 28, is the replacement of “Burado,” said lead actor Paulo Avelino.

He was in the cast of “Burado,” but the series was cancelled. Surprisingly, when he was called for the story conference of “Walang Hanggang Paalam,” he discovered it had the same storyline and most of the original members of the cast of “Burado,” like him, were in it.

“Some characters were added,” Paulo said.

Aside from Paulo, Zanjoe Marudo, Arci Muñoz and Angelica Panganiban are in the cast of “Walang Hanggang Paalam.” JC Santos, Tonton Gutierrez, Lotlot de Leon, Ronnie Lazaro, McCoy de Leon and Cherry Pie Picache play important roles.

Emmanuel Palo and Darnel Villaflor are at the helm of “Walang Hanggang Paalam,” which is under Dreamscape Entertainment.

“Walang Hanggang Paalam” is seen on the Kapamilya Channel on Channel 167 on HD, Cable Channel 8, GSat Direct TV Channel 22, and most cable operator members under the Philippine Cable and Telecommunications Association.

Paulo plays a dad whose young son is kidnapped in the series. At the press con, the actor said that he was able to connect with the role because he is a father of a young boy in real life. Paulo has a son, Aki, with ex-girlfriend, actress LJ Reyes.

LJ is now in a relationship with actor Paolo Contis, with whom she has a daughter.

Paulo, meanwhile, is said to be seeing a model.

    John Lloyd Cruz

The actor was spotted meeting with former Cong. Albee Benitez, who is producing several shows on TV5 under his outfit, Brightlight Productions.

Guess who was seen in a recent meeting with former Congressman Albee Benitez, who will soon produce a number of shows for TV5, under his newly established Brightlight Productions?

    John Lloyd Cruz, that’s who!

We wonder if John Lloyd has decided to stage a comeback. He turned his back on the entertainment scene when he feel in love with Ellen Adarna. He and Ellen had a son, but have since broken up.

John Lloyd was away from showbiz for three years and seemed contented taking care of his son.

“Sa Cebu na rin siya (John Lloyd) pumirma, para siguro mapalapit sa anak, na ipinahihiram naman daw ni Ellen kay John Lloyd. Obvious na maraming investments si John Lloyd kaya can afford siya not to be busy,” said a source, who claims to be close to John Lloyd.

On why John Lloyd agreed to meet with Cong. Albee, the same source stated: “Haka ko, maganda and offer. Sabi nga, iba if you are offered the right project – plus the right price.”

A boyfriend like Xian Lim, plus a new assignment as co-host of “It’s Showtime” …. what more can Kim ask for?

“Marami pa,” said Kim. “But I’d, of course, rather not mention them. Actually, hindi lang para sa akin, kung hindi sa mga mahal ko sa buhay. Although, they themselves (referring to her siblings) are all doing well now, too.

“I wish as well to be able to help others, mga underprivileged nating kababayan,” she also said. “Kasi, alam ko how it is maging mahirap. It’s common knowledge that my siblings and I didn’t grow up together.

“Our dad, after he and my late mom separated, left me and my siblings with several of his relatives, dahil he had to work in another province.”

Recently according to Kim, with her earnings from her single, “Bawal Lumabas,” she was able to distribute close to 2,000 relief goods to poor neighborhoods. She also donated P300,000 for mass testing.
