“My Everyday Valentine” is the latest digital single released by one of OPM’s proponents in the ‘80s and ‘90s, Miss JoAnne Lorenzana.
JoAnne penned the lyrics while the melody was created by brilliant, prolific songwriter Jimmy Borja (of “Sana Ngayong Pasko,” “Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin” and “If the Feeling Is Gone” fame) with arrangement by Jimmy Antiporda.
The sweet, easy-listening/pop ballad reminds those who cherish love that emotions and memories it evokes from the very beginning of one’s love story transcends the season of hearts. Though it officially premiered online on Valentine’s, the composition is meant to be an everyday love song. It says that while expressing our love feels good on Valentine’s or any other season, it is even better to express it every single day.
“Between Seasons,” the last album JoAnne released, was back in 2010. Since then, she has only released another single, “New Year’s Day,” about five years ago. The singer-songwriter revealed she has vowed to release new songs every year, if possible.
“My Everyday Valentine” is in keeping with her vow to her music audience, especially avid OPM listeners.
“My Everyday Valentine” is available on Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music. It will soon be available in other streaming services.
Additional credits go to mixing and mastering engineer Robert Preston of GetReel Productions, USA, Craig Abaya (for his creative inputs) and NeoMONDE Productions.
JoAnne also thanks “our Dear God from whom all gifts, blessings and miracles flow.”
