It’s time to rediscover and fall in love again with Filipino artistry and talent.
As the summer season starts and more families and barkada choose to spend their time together discovering new things to love in the country, it also is the best time to appreciate homegrown artists like Gloc-9, Shanti Dope, and Asintada artists – Lirah, JKris and Sandiwa.
Gloc-9, the country’s premiere rap artist, is headlining a tour of the country’s number 1 restaurant and bar chain, Padi’s.
The multi-awarded singer and master songwriter will also share the stage with Shanti Dope and fast-rising acoustic darling Lirah for the Padi’s Barkada Tour.
Gloc-8 acknowledges the help of Padi’s for championing Filipino talents.
“Very, very thankful to be part of this,” he said, “It’s one thing na makakapunta ka sa ibang lugar dahil sa Padi’s makasama ang ilang artists.
“Maraming maraming salamat sa Padi’s sa opportunity na makasama ang Asintada artists. Nuon pa, alam ko very supportive ang Padi’s sa Filipino artists.”
Gloc-9 said Padi’s is part of his career. Once in his life, a young Gloc-9 was also given a break by the barkada hangout.
“Memorable ang Padi’s,” he said, “Nagsimula rin ako sa Padi’s – ngayon ko lang masasabi to. Maraming maraming salamat sa Padi’s na kahit na beginner, binigyan ako ng chance.”
JKris and Sandiwa said it is an honor to be part of the roster. “Sobrang blessed and excited to promote our music. Nagpapasalamat kami sa management ng Padi’s,” they said.
Padi’s has long carried the distinction of being the favorite gimik venue for barkadas, with nightly entertainment of live bands, DJs that play hype dance music and party hits, plus food and drinks served for the barkada appetite such as the Party of Six, Barkada Feast and the signature three-literPadi’s Cocktail Towers.
Rap icon Gloc-9 and rap phenom Shanti Dope will visit Padi’s branches from May to June 2020 for a total of eleven gigs.
Meanwhile, Lirah, the artist behind the popular single “May Sahod Na Ba?” and the smash hit alternative band Sandiwa will be bringing the house down on nineteen schedules stops in the bar tour until June 2020. Lirah will also be flying solo at Padi’s Baguio on March 21.
