“3Pol Trobol: Huli Ka Balbon” is another action-packed, comedy offering from actor-director Coco Martin.
Knowing just how expensive cinema tickets now are, the action star said he made sure he did everything – including appearing in drag and wearing a swimsuit – to make sure viewers of all ages enjoy CCM Film Productions’ “3Pol Trobol: Huli Ka Balbon,” an entry in the 45th Metro Manila Film Festival.
“Dapat worth it,” said Coco, whose alter ego, the beautiful Paloma, has an important role in the comedy movie.
One of the most challenging things he had to do, aside from the daring fight scenes , is his scenes with Sam Milby, who plays the admirer of Jennylyn’s character.
Wala nang tipiran,” he disclosed.
In “3Pol Trobol,” Coco plays Apollo “Pol” Balbon, a loving son to single mother Mary Balbon (Ai Ai delas Alas). Pol works as a bodyguard to the executive director of National Defense Agency, who was gunned down because he knows of an anomaly in the department.
Before Pol could report the sensitive information, he becomes the primary suspect in the killing. But the real killer, Senator Simon (Edu Manzano), comes up with fabricated evidence. Pol decides to protect the daughter of his boss, Trina (Jennylyn Mercado), by disguising as Paloma – the long-lost sister of Trina from another mother.
He had no choice but do this because Andrew (Sam Milby), Simon’s son, is always around Trina. As Paloma, Pol is able to protect Trina and also help solve their “father’s” death.
“May sariling glam team si Paloma,” revealed Coco, who also said he will have a butt exposure in one scene as he dons a T-back.
Aside from Ai Ai, Jennylyn, Sam and Edu, the movie also stars Tirso Cruz III, Joey Marquez, Mitch Valdez, Carmi Martin, John Prats, Jojit Lorenzo, Mark Lapid, Bianca Manalo, PJ Endrinal, Super Tekla, Boobsie Wonderland, Marc Solis, Lester Llansang, John Medina, Donna Cariaga, Noong Ballinan, Joven Olvido, Sancho delas Alas, Bassilyo, Smugglaz, Happy, Soliman Cruz, Jhong Hilario, Ping Medina, Kim Molina, Pepe Herrera, Long Mejia, Lou Veloso, Marissa Delgado, Whitney Tyson, Bernard Palanca, Ali Khatibi, Paolo Paraiso, Ivana Alawi, and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.
