An international cola brand recently launched a Taste Challenge that asks Filipinos their preference through a blind taste test. The challenge, which aims to find out Filipinos’ choice of cola, was held in Quezon City, Cebu and Davao.
In the challenge, people were given two cups of different brands of cola — one of which is Pepsi — and asked which one they like. During the three legs of the taste challenge, it revealed that majority of the event participants chose the cola taste of Pepsi.
“Pepsi Taste Challenge is an iconic piece of our brand equity and in many ways established our can-do attitude and spirit, and with the global success we’ve had in various countries for the Pepsi Taste Challenge, we are so delighted with the overwhelming success we’ve had early this year in Quezon City, Cebu and Davao. Thank you to the Filipinos who continue to enjoy the Pepsi taste and to everyone who participated in the blind taste test challenge,” said Gutzee Segura, Pepsi Philippines marketing manager.
At the challenge were Pepsi brand ambassadors, according to Segura, “box office stars, athletes, social media influencers, performers such as Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Mimiyuuuh, JinHo Bae, Pamela Swing, Alyssa Valdes, Kiefer Ravena, and Ricci Rivero, who were proud to express their choice of cola taste. The event also showcased local talents like Matthaios, Autotelic, and SB19.”
