Bela wants to direct Lovi

She has chosen Lovi Poe to star in her first film under Viva Films.

Actress Bela Padilla will soon add another feather in her cap.

The actress, who also produces films and writes stories and screenplays (“Luck at First Sight,” “Camp Sawi,” among others), has been given the chance to direct.

Viva Films big boss Vic del Rosario is even giving Bela the choice of actress to play the lead in the project.

    Guess who she picked?

    Lovi Poe, that’s who!

“Puwedeng piliin niya ang ibang pang mga artista to play the characters in the story she will also write,” a kibitzer said.

Aside from being formidable actresses, Bela and Lovi both are from well-known showbiz clan.

Bela, whose real name is Krista Sullivan, is the niece of actor Robin Padilla. Bela’s mom is the second cousin of, Eva Cariño, who is Robin’s mom.

Lovi, of course, is the daughter of the late Fernando Poe, Jr. known as the “King of Philippine Movies.”

Alden Richards has had several successes in his career, but when it comes to the love department, well, he has yet to find a match.

At 28, the actor remains single. And he has no plans of having a love life.

“Pero, hindi ring nangangahulugang wala akong nagugustuhan,” he said. “Mayroon.”

“Ganunpaman, ayaw ko muna talagang ma-in love. To be fair to me and to the girl. Right now, as I always say in my interviews, I’m focused on my showbiz career. At ipinangako ko ito sa mga dasal ko, na gagawin ko ang lahat na sumikat, mabigyan lang ako ng pagkakataon.

“At ayaw kong sirain ang pangako kong iyan, hanggang dumating ang tamang panahon,” Alden continued.

And when is the right time?

“Malapit na. And I have one in mind na ligawan. At sana, magustuhan niya rin ako.”

She will be invited to his first virtual digital concert, said Alden. However, he will make sure that no one – including the special lady – will suspect that he has his eyes set on her.

Hindi ba nakakaloka ‘yan gagawin niya? we asked him.

“Well, love sometimes is both nakakaloka and nakakakatawa,” he reacted.

We saw his guesting in “Magandang Buhay,” the talk show of Melai Cantiveros, Jolina Magdangal and Karla Estrada. Kris was featured with singer-songwriter Nyoy Volante.

Kris said he just welcomed his new daughter with his non-showbiz girlfriend in October. He also has a daughter with his ex-girlfriend, actress Katrina Halili.

Kris also revealed that he has ventured into several businesses, including the designing and sewing of face masks, while waiting for the situation in the live entertainment scene to normalize.

So far, his ventures are doing well, he said.

Meanwhile, Nyoy’s singing career has also been affected by the pandemic. Although, he still occasionally acts as a judge in “Tawag ng Tanghalan” on “It’s Showtime.”

He said he and his wife, theater actress Mikkie Bradshaw, have ventured into the food business.
