There are no accidents, Miss O or Olivia Quido-Co, has proven in her life.

The California-licensed aesthetician of the famous O Skin Med Clinic and O Skin Care firmly believes that although it took a heartbreak for her to decide to try her luck in the United States and leave everything behind, including a forlorn fiancé, it was this same pain that led her to find her purpose in life.

It was after three unsuccessful tries to face the altar with her then-fiance Jason that led her to a life in the US.

Ah ganun?

Ibang kapatid. So ‘yung reception at church naming gagamitin nung kapatid na isa.

Tapos pangatlong taon na, ikakasal na uli kami, hindi na ulit natuloy so pumunta na ako ng America,” she recounted.

“Break na. Ayoko na. Pangatlong taon na. Ayoko na,” she reiterated “Bahala na kayo. Alam mo ‘yung babae pag ikakasal excited yun.

With just the dream to work in a glamorous New York office, wearing a power suit and high heels, she tried her luck looking for a job. She even applied to be a nurse – but it has always been the beauty business that was in her heart.

So in 2003, she set up O Skin Care, and then in 2007, O Skin Medi Spa that offers Beauty expert shares life lesson

botox, fillers and facials. Miss O created a protocol and a formula that made O Skin Medi Spa clients feel pampered from head to foot. Soon, it became a favorite of celebrities and beauty queens, including former Miss World runner-up Ruffa Gutierrez, Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach and Miss Universe Catriona Gray.

“Marami na akong na facial, Sam Miby, Angel Locsin, Claudine Barretto, Pia Wurtzbach, Lea Salonga, Sen. Grace Poe, Ai Ai de las Alas, Ruffa Gutierrez, most of the beauty queens. Catriona Grey was using my products. Makikita mo may video sa Miss Universe that she was using my product step by step,” she enumerated.

She lists Catriona as the most radiant celebrity she has welcomed in her spa. “Mas maganda lalo pag walang makeup. Ang classy, ang elegante,” she commented.

And Ruffa is the one with the best skin.

I would say na-starstruck ako, ‘yung ang ganda ng mukha hanggang legs ganun. Kumbaga si Ruffa sobrang blessed na babae pagdating sa kutis ang ganda sobra,” she said.

In seventeen years, she has not only built a good name as the go-to aesthetic center in California but has also built a family with her husband Jason, with whom she shares four kids, aged 11, 9 and 6-year-old twins. She has found her calling, her purpose and her life lesson.
