Arjo sets his sights on movie production

    AWARD-winning actor Arjo Atayde is setting his sights on producing.

    Not only that, said Atayde. At the press con of Beautéderm Spruce & Dash– which he endorses – Arjo said he is not just producing a movie, he is producing and writing it – and it will star him with girlfriend Maine Mendoza.

    “That’s the first script I am writing. Hopefully sya ang unang matapos. Nasabi na niya na rin naman,” he said, referring to Maine.

    “Yes, I am doing it. It’s just we stay in different worlds – she is in the leading lady side, I’m in the character actor side and I’m very aware of that. It’s not my world. I don’t want to get into it. I don’t want to get into that. But for you, I’ll dive into it. But it really depends on the story… Mas malaman, different.”

    Well, Arjo has always been versatile so to see him try his hand at playing a romantic lead would be exciting. He is known for his outstanding portrayals of diverse characters. He has played a man with autism on “The General’s Daughter,” an anti-hero in “Bagman,” a gay parent in an episode of “Maalaala Mo Kaya,” Cardo’s nemesis in “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,” and Dr. Cedric Jacinto in the thrilling weekly series, “24/7.”

    Aside from his on-screen work, Arjo is also enjoying his role as brand ambassador of top beauty brand, Beautederm. He so believes in the brand that he will not only be an ambassador but will also soon follow in the steps of his mom, Sylvia Sanchez, and his sister, Ria Atayde, who are not only Beautederm endorsers but also store owners. Arjo said he, too, is planning to open his own store where he can sell Beautederm.
