Alden would like to work with Maine again

‘We’re much more comfortable with each other now. – Alden Richards’

Alden Richards starred in the biggest box office hit film last year, “Hello, Love, Goodbye.”

He’s supposed to do a follow up movie on that also to be shot abroad, but it’s been shelved due to the pandemic. A lot of people are suggesting that he be paired with this and that actress, like Bea Alonzo, with whom he did a shampoo endorsement.

“I really pray that we can do some other project other than just the TV commercial we did,” he said at his launch as new Cosmo Cee endorser. “Sana nga po, matapos na ang pandemic na ito para makapag-shooting na uli ng isang bagong pelikula.”

How about Maine Mendoza, who’s his original “Eat Bulaga” ka-love team?

“Okay naman kami ni Maine,” Alden replied. “Nagkakasama kami hosting ‘Bawal Judgmental’ in ‘Eat Bulaga’ and masaya kami. We’re much more comfortable with each other now. Yes, I’d like to work with her again in a movie kung may magandang material.”

Alden feels blessed that despite the lockdown, he continues to be busy. He’s now the actor with the most number of endorsements. He’s happy to endorse Cosmo Cee with Bioflavonoids as a first line of defense against infection. “Pinalalakas kasi nito ang resistencia at immunity ng katawan to make sure hindi tayo basta tatablan ng anumang sakit,” he said. “Malaking tulong ito sa’kin with my busy lifestyle as it helps fortify my body and sustain my energy levels.”

Niño Bautista and Red Gatus, the top honchos of Bargn Farmaceuticls that makes Cosmo Cee and other first-rate beauty products and food supplements, are happy to get Alden as their endorser.

“Alden is the perfect endorser for Cosmo Cee as he’s a health buff,” said Niño. “Kita naman sa physique niya ngayon na lean and well-toned. You can see he really takes good care of his body.”

“With Alden as our endorser,” said Red, “we will help educate the consumers on how to strengthen one’s immunity and fight diseases to ward of virus and bacteria through Cosmo Cee.”

Janine Gutierrez feels honored that her movie, “Babae at Baril,” will be the opening film in the New York Asian Film Festival to be held at the Big Apple from August 28 to September 12. She personally announced this in her social media account, saying: “So excited and sooo efffffing wish we could actually go to NY for the North American premiere at the NYAFF. But, nonetheless congrats to the team! ‘Babae at Baril’ is available in the Philippines on Cignal Play streaming. I hope you get to see it. So proud to be part of this female-led team with Rae Red as our writer-director.”

Janine won best actress award at the QCinema Film Festival held last October for her performance in the film. We’ve seen it and she deserves the trophy. We got to interview Janine when it was previewed and asked her what she thinks of her role as a lowly department store saleslady who is harassed and raped by her immediate boss.

“I love it that I was totally deglamorized in this film and I think my character represents all the hassle and harassment that women experience every day, from small to big things,” she said. “I’m sure a lot of women can relate with her, pati ‘yung hirap niya sa pagpasok at pag-uwi sa trabaho na malayo ang nilalakad niya at nakikipagsiksikan siya sa punuang bus.

The movie shows that the formerly timid girl changes dahil ‘yung baril, parang nagbibigay ng kakaibang power. But of course, it’s all up to you to know how to handle it,” she added.

She has completed a new movie, “Ngayon Kaya” (formerly “If We Don’t Make It”), which is supposed to be an entry in the summer Metro Manila Film Festival that didn’t push through because of the pandemic.

Bianca King is following in the footsteps of local celebrities who have moved to Sydney, Australia. First was Rich Asuncion who married a Fil-Aussie athlete, Benjamin Mudie. They have a daughter named Isabella. Rich now works as a waitress Down Under and we cannot blame her since she no longer gets any acting assignments here so she felt she can start anew in the land of her hubby.

Next is Korean DJ-TV host Jinri Park, who married her husband named John in Sydney (where John was born and raised) on March 21 in a small wedding where only John’s family attended.

She said she plans to have a bigger wedding after the pandemic where she can invite her Korean family to attend. Like Rich, she’s now also working as a waitress.

Now, the next one to announce that she is also transferring to Sydney is actress Bianca King, who was linked to Patrick Garcia and Dennis Trillo when she was starting her career.

She will be going there with her boyfriend, Ralph Wintle, the brother of Iza Calzado’s husband, Ben Wintle.

So if ever she and Ralph would decide to officially tie the knot, she and Iza would then be sisters-in-law. In her social media account, Bianca said she is moving on and starting a new chapter in her life.
