Yondu, ECPay revenues hit P1.3B

Globe Telecom’s technology arm Yondu is optimistic it can sustain its revenue growth in 2021 driven by increasing demand for technology solutions since the pandemic started.
Both Yondu and another Globe subsidiary, Electronic Commerce Payments Inc. or ECPay, led the surge in Globe’s non-telco revenues in 2020.

The company’s non-telco products and services generated a total of P1.3 billion in revenues as of end-December 2020, up 99 percent from the previous year.

Joan Penaflorida Yondu president and chief executive officer said there is still significant room for growth especially when helping businesses with their digital shift.

“As companies are forced to shift to a remote working setup, which in turn requires high internet connectivity, we can help them scale up despite infrastructure limitations by leveraging on our expertise in technology, more specifically our custom development solutions,” Penaflorida said.

Yondu-developed products Health Management for Enterprise (HealthMe) and Vessell saw significant market success in 2020. HealthMe is a mobile application that allows companies to keep track of employees’ health digitally and remotely, while Vessell is an e-commerce platform builder that gives business owners the ability to create their own personalized online store.
