The Inter-agency Task Force (IATF) on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has passed a resolution adopting StaySafePH as the integrated contact tracing app.

Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez said the IATF will also issue a resolution that would give establishments a safety seal indicating they adhere to the government-imposed health and safety protocols.

In his speech at Buyanihan Resellers’ Expo on December 5, establishments in the private sector should register and generate their company QR or quick response code which they will post at the entrances for scanning by customers.

Visitors to the establishments should have the app downloaded on their smart phones.

Lopez said the app is integrated with the data system of the Department of Health where it is easy to track those which have tested positive before or are waiting for their test results.

The next step, he said, is for establishments to have safety seal or sticker displayed at the entrances as an indication the establishment has been certified to have followed all health protocols set by government.

The IATF is setting up the guidelines on the initiative.

Lopez said this will be a good marketing program that will increase the confidence of consumers.
