The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is set to open a portion of the P11.8-billion Central Luzon Link Expressway (CLLEX) project phase 1 by May 15 this year.
Mark Villar, DPWH secretary, said in a statement within the next 90 days, the 18-kilometer section from the connection of Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) and Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX) in Balingcanaway, Tarlac City up to Aliaga, Nueva Ecija will be opened to the motoring public.
Villar led the inspection Monday to check the progress of work for the four lanes of the 30 km. CLLEX phase 1 that will cut travel time between Tarlac City and Cabanatuan City from 70 minutes to just 20 minutes.
