Medal Consortium Inc. (MCI) is investing P2 billion for the construction of a hotel in Clark which will complement the company’s existing water theme park in the freeport.

A statement of the Clark Development Corp. (CDC) quoted Irineo Alvaro Jr., one of the owners of MCI, as saying the hotel will feature 200 rooms to accommodate the expected influx of guests and tourists in Clark.

Alvaro, chairman of the Clark Investors and Locators Association (CILA), also said the hotel incorporates the natural environment of the area which will make Clark more sustainable in the future.

CDC said Alvaro and his Taiwanese partners have also infused multi-billion-peso investments on Midori Hotel and Casino, Eaglesky company, and the 10-hectare Aqua Planet water theme park.

Mirej Resort Hotel will mainly cater to tourists of the Aqua Planet Theme Park.
