MRT7 on track

San Miguel Corp. is on track to complete the construction of Metro Rail Transit Line 7 (MRT7) by 2021 as the system is now 47.21 percent complete.

Ongoing civil works include the guideway construction, underground/depressed and at-grade excavation or concreting works, and installation of coping beam, girder and trans-slabs on the elevated structures.

With the construction in full swing 24/7, the rolling stock and electrical and mechanical (E&M) works are also in progress.

Once completed in 2021, this 22-kilometer rail line will connect Quezon City to San Jose Del Monte in Bulacan, which will reduce travel time from two to three hours to only 35 minutes.

Delivery of the 108 train cars for MRT7 starts towards the end of the year.

Composed of 14 stations, the 22 km MRT7 rail transit system will connect North avenue in Quezon City to San Jose Del Monte City in Bulacan.
