Trading at the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) was suspended Thursday due to typhoon Ulysses.
Ramon Monzon, PSE president, in a memorandum, said clearing and settlement at the PSE were suspended yesterday.
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas also suspended trading, including cash deposits and withdrawals at the security plant complex, PhilPass operations, as well as monetary operations.
Prior to the suspension of stock market trading, the government has announced a suspension of work Thursday in preparation for the arrival of Ulysses.
The PSE said with the suspension of trading, the settlement of trades done Wednesday can be down Tuesday next week, Nov. 17, 2020.
